Central Connecticut State University will honor two area military service members at the annual Veterans’ Day ceremony on November 11. The event will be held at 3 p.m. in Founders Hall in the Davidson Hall administration building on Stanley Street, New Britain. A reception will follow the ceremony. The event is open to the public and free parking is available in the Paul J. Manafort Lot or in campus garages.

In Bridgeport Veterans Day will be observed on Saturday with a flag-raising ceremony in the North End, followed by a parade through downtown ending with a tribute on McLevy Green. Greater Bridgeport veterans will begin the day with a flag raising at 9 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park on upper Park Avenue. At 10:30 a.m., a parade will assemble in front of the Cardinal Shehan Center, 1494 Main St. The parade will march south on Main Street, west on State Street and north on Broad Street, where it will conclude at the veterans monuments at McLevy Hall. A ceremony paying tribute to veterans will commence at 11 a.m., coinciding with the signing of the armistice that ended World War I — the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.

Veterans Day Breakfast The Student Council of Wamogo Regional High School in Litchfield, CT (serving the towns of Warren, Morris, and Goshen)will be hosting their 9th annual Veterans Day Breakfast. This breakfast is free to all Veterans and their families. The Wamogo band will be performing at 9:00.

United State Army Field Band & Soldiers' Chorus Veterans Day Concert
A concert by the premier touring musical representative for the United States Army. The Band and Chorus will present a powerful and diverse program of marches, overtures, popular music, patriotic selections, and instrumental and vocal solos. Sponsored by Yale University.
