Happy Bruce Springsteen Day!

The Boss gets his own day in Connecticut

Today isn't just any old Tuesday in Connecticut. Governor Rell has officially declared it "Bruce Springsteen Day" in honor of the musician.

Bruce and the E Street Band kick off their first tour in four years right here in Connecticut tonight at the Hartford Civic Center. They're promoting their new album, "Magic."

Governor Rell issued the proclamation honoring the multiple Grammy winner for his contributions to American music and declared Oct. 2 as "Bruce Springsteen Day in Connecticut."
