Walking With Dinosaurs The Live Experience Comes To Bridgeport

After (65 million) years of planning, the award-winning BBC TV series Walking with Dinosaurs comes to life in a stunning theatrical event coming to Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport. Internationally-renowned designers have worked with scientists to create 15 life-sized dinosaurs, including that terror of the ancient terrain, Tyrannosaurus-Rex!

Be amazed and thrilled as the greatest creatures ever to walk the earth return before your eyes. Marvel at the story of their 200-million-year domination of life on earth. Watch them walk. Hear them roar. Be there, as they fight for survival and supremacy.

Ten species are represented from the entire 200 million year reign of the dinosaurs. The show includes the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the terror of the ancient terrain, as well as the Plateosaurus and Liliensternus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the awesome Cretaceous. The largest of them, the Brachiosaurus is 36 feet tall, and 56 feet from nose to tail. It took a team of 50 – including engineers, fabricators, skin makers, artists and painters, and animatronic experts – a year to build the original production.

FROM 95 SOUTH:
Traveling on 95 South take Exit 27 (Harbor Yard Sportsplex) and bear right on the exit ramp. Follow Lafayette St. to State St. Turn right on State St. Two blocks to Main St. turn right on Main. Follow Main St. to North Frontage Rd. (General parking)- turn right on North Frontage Rd. Parking lot is on your right. The parking fee is $2-$10. Reserved parking continue straight on Main going under 95 turning left on South Frontage Rd. garage will be on your right.

FROM 95 NORTH:
Traveling North on 95 take Exit 27 (Harbor Yard Sportsplex) continue straight to Lafayette St. Turning right on Lafayette to Allen St. Turn left on Allen lot will be on your right. The parking fee is $2-$10. An alternate route is at the bottom of the exit 27 northbound ramp is to take a right on Myrtle Ave. after going under the railway over pass take a left on Railroad Ave. Travel straight to Broad St., parking lot will be on your right. The parking fee is $2-$10. Reserved parking at Broad St. will turn left, and follow Broad St. to South Frontage Rd. Turning right on South Frontage Rd. the garage will be on your right.

FROM ROUTE 25/8 CONNECTOR:
Traveling on the Route 25/8 connector take exit 3 Main St. south. Follow Main to North Frontage Rd. (General parking) - turn right on North Frontage Rd. parking lot will be on you right. The parking fee is $2-$10. Reserved parking continue straight on Main St. to South Frontage Rd. turn left, the garage will be on your right. Patrons can also use exit 1 off of the 25/8 connector, at the bottom of the ramp turn left onto Prospect St. to Lafayette, then turn left. Follow Lafayette to State St. turning right on State. Follow directions listed for 95 south bound. Note: Housatonic Community College/Government Center will be used for parking if the Ballpark and Arena both have events at the same time.
