Jazz is Cool – A Salon with trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis
"Jazz is Cool – A Salon with trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis" is a first-time collaboration between the Litchfield Jazz Festival and Divas World Productions. The Salon, held on Saturday, July 24th at 7:30 PM, will feature music by jazz great Delfeayo Marsalis.
The iconic Marsalis family, Delfeayo included, was recently named 2011 NEA Jazz Masters! Held at Kent School's Madison Auditorium, the Salon will feature music by Mr. Marsalis and top notch musical collaborators, commentary by the artist and a relaxed talk with audience members.
Tickets are $10 in advance and at the door.

"Jazz is Cool" is part of a 30 part concert series, "Kent has that Jazz," presented by the Litchfield Jazz Festival, which is open to the public for free and runs from July 12 – August 7 in Kent with performances by Litchfield Jazz Camp's renowned faculty and talented students.
