A Mother's Legacy Of Love

A young mother with terminal breast cancer doesn't want to leave her daughter without a legacy. So she created a foundation called Light One Little Candle. Joelle Pauporte of West Hartford created the foundation which collects new children's books to give to other cancer-struck parents, encouraging them to read, as a means to connect and bond with their children. "The idea is for a sick parent, a parent ill with cancer, to be able to take this book home and use this book as a tool like I have to remain connected with Halle," says Joelle.
You can send new books to: One Little Candle, Bishop's Corner Branch Library, 15 Starkel Road, West Hartford, CT 06117 or drop them off at the Bishop's Corner branch of Barnes & Noble. There is also an Amazon.com Wish List of books.
