No Lighting Up The Night in Hartford This Year
One of my favorite traditions since moving to Connecticut has been to visit Hartford's Holiday Light Fantasia in Goodwin Park every year. Sadly, there will be no lights this holiday season due to the reasons outlined on their website. If you have a minute, please let them know you'll miss them, and want them to return next year.
Thanks - Linzi @ thisisct.net
PS--Here's the quote from their website:
Dear friends of Holiday Light Fantasia:
It is with great disappointment that we must let you know that this year's show will not be taking place. We are forced to take a one year hiatus due to a number of circumstances beyond our control.
It has been a difficult and complicated decision to forego opening this year's light show at Goodwin Park. We know that Fantasia has become a holiday tradition in New England, with an estimated 750,000 people visiting the show during its five years.
So we intend to take a one year hiatus and plan for a new, improved Holiday Light Fantasia next year.
Wishing you a very happy holiday season,
Holiday Light Fantasia

I will truly miss the lights this as I have shared them with my four children each year and was planning on taking my granddaughters this year to continue the family tradition. I hope to see them next year.
