Cabin Fever Festival and Charity Chowder Cookoff
4th annual Cabin Fever Festival featuring 21 local restaurants in a Charity Chowder Cook -Off competition. For a donation of $1.00 per 3 oz. cup, the public can taste each of the chef's special recipes and vote for their favorite. A trophy is awarded to the the top three restaurants with the most votes. All the proceeds are donated to the Pawcatuck Neighborhod Emergency Food Pantry, a non-pofit organizaion that helps feed needy families in the southeastern CT area. Free entertainment from wildlife demonstrations to musical groups adds to the festive atmosphere. So bring the family, enjoy some food and entertainment and shake off those cabin fever blues.

Family Saturdays at the Old State House
Discover Hartford’s past and present at the Old State House! Bring the people and events from the legend of the Charter Oak to life using dramatic techniques, costumes and props. Certain to engage the whole family! But that’s not all! Family building tours allow you to explore The Old State House with a member of the Education Staff to learn about the many events and changes that took place there.
Time: Museum Hours are Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Family programs start at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Family Building Tours start at 2 p.m.
Admission: $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and students. Children 5 and under are free.
