Weekend Celebration Honors State Vets

Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that Connecticut veterans will be honored with a weekend-long celebration featuring historic aircraft and vehicle displays, speakers and a variety of family activities at Brainard Airport in Hartford.

 

The Veterans of Foreign War's "Salute to Connecticut Veterans" is Oct. 3-5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.  The displays include a variety of aircraft, living history encampments, a complete M.A.S.H. (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) and a tent that features speakers from every war since 1941.
