Earth Hour in Connecticut
The World Wildlife Fund is asking individuals, businesses, governments and organizations around the world to turn off their lights for one hour – Earth Hour – to make a global statement of concern about climate change and to demonstrate commitment to finding solutions.
There are four cities in Connecticut officially taking part in this international event that began in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Simsbury, Darien, Greenwich and Fairfield. Each participating location will turn off all their non-essential lights for one hour on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at 8:30 pm local time.
