Is The Charles W. Morgan Haunted?

That's the question that Rhode Island paranormal experts are trying to answer. The team of five investigators from The Rhode Island Paranormal Research Group spent Friday night onboard the Mystic based Whaling Ship checking reports of ghostly sightings said to be of a "six-foot-tall man, wearing nineteenth-century clothes and a pipe in his mouth."

The paranormal investigators say they've picked up on enough other-worldly evidence to justify a return visit with more sophisticated equipment, but it's up to seaport officials whether to invite them back.

The ship is 165 years old and a National Historic Landmark. About a thousand men worked aboard the wooden ship during its 60-year career.
