To fruitier sweeter whites and reds and late harvest Vidals and Vignoles. Some wineries produce sparkling wines, ciders and wines made from pears and apples.

CT wines the best you ever had? You must not have consumed much wine in your life. Napa, Spain, Argentina and have superior red wines...not to mention France and Portugal. CT red wines cannot come close..

Oh, give the state and the reader a break. He/she liked the wines, that's all that mattered. And it's good that they are visiting the state and buying local. CT wineries have a loyal following and have won numerous awards. Many have gained national recognition. And I'd rather pay $20 for a CT wine than $40 for one from California. The wineries are fun to visit and I like to think I am supporting local farms and families.

Whether one likes the wine and another doesnt, shouldnt matter to the next person; everyones preference is different. What does matter is that we are out supporting our local CT farms, wineries, etc. and its a nice way to spend the day without spending a fortune.
