Surviving Black Friday Tips!

They call it the Superbowl of Shopping, Black Friday, is approaching quickly once again. Whether you look forward to it, or safely decide to shop at home, avoiding the crushing crowds. Getting an amazing deal is very enticing. If you plan to brave the cold and the crowds, be prepared. Here are my tips for Surviving Black Friday:
1. Plan ahead. Look online, and in coupon flyers that usually come in the papers on the Thursday and on Friday mornings. Know what you want to buy and at what price. Get the scoop on these websites:

2. Make a list! This goes with the planning. Know what you want to buy, and for who.
3. Get up early! Very early!! Many places have early bird specials which usually are in effect from the time the store opens, from 5:00 am - 11:00 am.
4. Dress comfortably! If you end up having to wait in a line outside when its 25 degrees you'll want to be warm enough. Wear running shoes, or sneakers.
5. Bring copies of the ads with you! If a price dispute comes up, you'll want to have the proof with you.
6. Don't shop alone. Bring a friend who can help you shop. Stay in contact by cell phone within the store. Even better, know the layout of the store beforehand, so in the case of a rush you know exactly where to go to get the object of your desire.
7. KEEP ALL YOUR RECEIPTS! Best tip of all.
8. Shop Online! The deals can be just as good. There are no lines, no limited quantities and sometimes you can even get free shipping! Sounds like a good deal to me.
