This means as of that date your cell phone may start ringing off the hook with telemarketers, but unlike your home phone, most people pay for incoming calls. This could potentially eat up your free minutes and end up costing you more money in the long run. The good thing is that you can register your cell phone number for free with the national Do Not Call Registry. Registering only takes a few minutes, and is effective for 5 years.
