Kylie Minogue Breast Cancer Shock

As someone who has grown up having the music of Kylie Minogue as the soundtrack of my life, I was shocked this week to hear of her cancer scare. Like most Brits, who love Kylie, I can't imagine life without her, and I just wanted to put my arms around her and hug her when I heard the news. One British news reporter described hearing the news as "like being punched in the gut," and many reports have mentioned our surprising sadness about the situation.

I've introduced my niece (2 years old on Tuesday) to the music of La Minogue, and she is always asking me to play her favourite song "Can't Get You Out of My Head" for her. She just says "More La, La, La?"

Today the Melbourne Herald-Sun, Kylie's local paper (at least in Australia), is now reporting that her surgery has been sucessful, I sincerely hope she makes a full and speedy recovery. We all need our "more La, La, La."
