Taking The Plunge

NBC30's AM Anchorman Brad Drazen and Ryan "Action-man" Hanrahan are taking the Penguin Plunge this weekend - along with loads of other brave people, all in the name of a great cause. The Penguin Plunge benefits the Special Olympics of Connecticut. Brad takes the plunge at Crystal Lake in Middletown, and Ryan will take the jump at the Madison Surf club. Both events are expected to take place at noon on Saturday, February 23rd. You can donate to the Penguin Plungers here.

I bow to you both, and all the others who do it. You are all much braver than I am jumping into the icy-waters of Crystal Lake and and the shore at Madison. I don't even own a bathing suit (would a parka count?). On another topic - slightly related since we are expecting some snow tomorrow - I love going to Target and seeing people buying bathing suits, and then the snow shovels in the same shopping cart. Ah, it's the little things...
